Penfor Construction is pleased to be working with the University of Manitoba on the construction of a new Dairy Research Facility at the Glenlea Research Station in Glenlea, MB.  The project involves the conversion of an existing swine research facility into a fully functioning free stall dairy featuring the latest in innovative robotic technology, precision sampling and automation design that will promote leading edge dairy research, education training and outreach to the larger community.

Designed to accommodate up to 60 lactating cows which can be sorted into a variety of different research groups, the facility is further supported by a metabolic research unit, hospital room and lab, feed kitchen, maternity penning, calf and young stock housing.  The visitor experience includes multiple views of the barn from the public entrance and multi-use teaching room, as well as access to the cow areas on designated pathways throughout the facility.
