Penfor Construction had the pleasure of working with Steinbach Hatchery - Maple Grove Farms on this 19,000 SF Breeder Barn. The layer barn is designed for 21,600 hens and 2,592 males. A Salmet egg conveyor collects the fertilized eggs from the cage system and gently brings the eggs across the barn into the processing room. There the egg lift system readies the eggs for transport to the facility where they will complete their next phase of development.
